Who's who in the cast
Kerry McGrath- Bridget O'Malley: Kerry McGrath had the great experience of beginning her career on Broadway with some of the greats such as Katharine Hepburn, Carol Channing, and Phil Silvers. Moving to Los Angeles, Kerry guest starred in many films, TV series, and movies of the week, but really found her niche in commercials - hundreds of them in 30 years. Kerry continued in theatre working with Collage Dance Theatre for several years, as well as appearing as Felicity in The Shadowbox with the American Academy of Dramatic Arts' Company, where she was also on the faculty for five years. Kerry continues to coach actors and business people, her specialty being the art of improvisation.
Bennett Liss- Henry Hulme: Bennett Liss has acted on Broadway with Jessica Tandy in the Glass Menagerie and has been directed by Mike Nichols in the Broadway National Production of The Real Thing. Mr. Liss has numerous television and film credits. Outside of his acting achievements, Mr. Liss is the inventor of the United States emergency communication system for K-12 schools and Universities, known as Notification Technologies, Inc., which is now reaching over 10,000,000 students and families in the United States and Canada. Bennett's new company, CordTrack, is set to launch March 24th of '08. Mr. Liss' greatest achievement is his three amazing children, Joshua, Zachary and Madeline.
Judith Bohannon, director: Judith joined the faculty of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in the 1980s. She holds an M.A. from Northwestern University and studied acting with such luminaries as Uta Hagen, Jose Ferrer, John Lehne, A.J. Antoon and, the remarkable Michael Shurtleff. As an actress she performed in a myriad of plays all over the country, did over 300 commercials and was the voice of many cartoons, movies, and commercials. Favorite stage roles include leads in LuAnn Hampton Laverty Oberlander, Witness, and Remembrance. She was also a member of Circle Rep West and the Colony. Judith's most recent directorial credits for the Academy include, Extremities, Glengarry Glen Ross, Tracers, Cry Havoc, Waiting for Lefty, Uncommon Women and Others, and Five Women Wearing the Same Dress.
Brenda Beck - Hilda Hulme: Brenda Beck considers herself a California native (after being born in Hawaii) and was trained at the University of Nevada and USC, where she received her MFA. She studied with Tad Danielewski, Jack Rowe, Deborah Ross-Sullivan, Bob Dillard and Jim Bernardi. She was a co-founder of Plays With Words Theatre Company. She has extensive world-wide stage and some film experience, favorites of which are Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Sisterly Feelings, Gypsy, Chicago, and Cloud 9. She adores animals, Shakespeare, and teaching voice and speech, which she does at AADA and AMDA. She is highly honored to be working with the wonderful actors in this production and extremely proud to have taught some of them! As always, she dedicates her work to Jeff Flint.
Elizabeth Southard - Honora Rieper: Originally from Australia and new to the acting world in LA, Elizabeth's LA theater credits include: The Circus Theatricals Festival of New One Act Plays, Naked Yoga at Unknown Theater, Week 50 365 Days/365 Plays at Circus Theatricals, Kamasutra at The Eclectic Company Theater, Weedwacker, an original musical also at Circus Theatricals, and Dr. Bluf in Pomp & Circumstance at the Matrix Theater. She has also performed in numerous other theater, indie films, commercials & industrials in Orlando, Chicago and Sydney
Chris DeChristopher - Herbert Rieper: Chris moved to Los Angeles five years ago from Boston, where he completed Emerson College's Screenwriting Program. He also did numerous commercials and appeared in productions of And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little, The Devils, Never Too Late, Grease and Summer And Smoke. He was also fortunate enough to be directed by David Mamet in State And Main where, as his friends remind him, "Your yellow work truck got more screen time than you". He's thrilled to be involved with such a fantastic group of talented and wonderful people.
Bret Roberts- Walter Perry: Alaskan born, Bret Roberts came from the wild to begin acting in Los Angeles. Eleven restaurant jobs later, he's glad to be part of Daughters of Heaven. A big fan of peter jackson's rendition, Bret hopes to one day meet Kate Winslet in the fourth world, or the 3rd
world, or even Wayne's World would be fine..
Marty Fortney - Dr. Reginald Medlicott: Graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. TV: ER, Providence, Diagnosis Murder, 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd, 10-8, Martial Law, and over 15 National and Regional commercials. Senior Casting Associate with Cathi Carlton Casting. Single.

Lindsay Heston - police matron: Lindsay is from the Midwest and moved out here in 2003 to pursue her passion for the craft of acting. Since being in LA, she has played such roles as Lt. Commander JoAnne Galloway in A Few Good Men, Witch 1 in Macbeth, and Dotty Otley in Noises Off. She appeared on the sitcom, Lucky Louis on HBO and recently filmed a pilot for NBC. Lindsay is pleased to be a part of this production and would like to thank the ENTIRE cast and crew for their love of the craft.
Matt Mowat - Terrence Gresson: All the way from France, Matt came to Hollywood in 2005 to study acting at the world renowned American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He graduated from the two year program, attaining the Michael Thoma Award, and went on to be a part of the Academy Company the following year. Matt began his path as an actor at the age of 15 in a French musical, playing Christopher Colombus, discovering America. Little did he know the irony - now he is discovering it for himself! Although a native Brit, he grew up in France and went to a hotel management and culinary arts school. After living two years in London, he moved here to pursue his dream! His most recent work includes: The Time Machine, The Mousetrap (at GCT), Glengarry Glen Ross, Proof, Months on End, Dear Friends, Once a Catholic, Chekhov in Yalta, and Royal Gambit. As an Englishman, he also enjoys his Shakespeare and has been in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth. He is thrilled to be a part of this production and to have the opportunity to work with his favorite director, Judith Bohannon and the other AADA alums! Special thanks to his parents for believing in him, his brothers, the Paterni family, everyone at AADA, his new brothers at the blue house and, most of all, God, for allowing him to be on this adventure of a lifetime.
Jeff Steinkamp - the police detective: Jeff is excited to make his Los Angeles theatre debut. Graduated San Francisco State University with a Bachelors in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in performance. Credits include performances in San Francisco of Street Scene (SFSU), Trojan Women (SFSU), Lonesome West (Brownbag Theatre), Cowboy Mouth (BB Theatre), Uncle Vanya (BB Theatre), and Evil Dead Live (Off-the-Market Theatre). Jeff is now working the LA film scene with such credits as, Eagle Eye, Frost/Nixon, The Last Word, Cheerleader Ninjas, Loaded,and Life and Death of a Cigarette. Thanks to his family and friends for their support and love.
Daniel Jeary - Alan Brown: Three years ago, Daniel came all the way from Sussex, England to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Hollywood. He is currently in the Academy's Company and has been seen this year in Anna in the Tropics, Tracers, Arcadia, and Othello. He was also in Three Sisters and the wonderful, The Importance of Being Earnest. Dan is honored to part of such a wonderful cast and exciting project and, is so grateful to again be working with Judith Bohannon and Brenda Beck.
Casey Vendeventer, stage manager: Casey followed her big screen dreams to Los Angeles in 2003 only to fall in love with the theatre. Her favorite roles include Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and Emily in The Marriage of Bette and Boo. Casey is honored to be along for the journey with this cast and crew, who teach her something new everyday. Thanks to Mom, and Ally too!
Brittania Nicol, producer - Juliet Hulme: Brittania Nicol has come a long way from her small, southern hometown of Hilton Head Island, to make her Los Angeles debut in Daughters of Heaven. She is extremely excited to be a part of this gifted cast and honored that this project has blossomed from an idle chat over coffee to an amazing production. Back home she has been seen as Jasmine in Aladdin the Musical, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Seussical the Musical, The Laramie Project, and Big River among many others. She would like to send a thousand thank yous to all the wonderful people who have donated so much time, energy and money to this project. All my love and thanks to Mom, Dad, Brent, Lesley, Ben, Harry, Evan, Temma, Judith, Brenda, Kerry, Gwen, Doc, Alexia, and most of all Amanda Jones. "We shall not be parted."
Amanda Jones, producer - Pauline Parker: Amanda recently graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Hollywood, where she had the great honor of meeting the wonderful people who have made Daughters of Heaven a wonderful reality. Her favorite roles to date include, Fantine in Les Miserables, Dottie in STDivas - a musical about STD's, and Annie in Annie Get Your Gun. Amanda can currently be seen on a commercial for MTV's Rock the Cradle. She also works as a casting assistant and hopes to continue to produce shows with her amazing and talented partner in crime, Brittania Nicol. Thank you to Judith Bohannon. Judith has been so supportive and has believed in this play more than anyone. Without her, it would have been two confused girls saying lines. She is the reason this play has shape, story, and heart. Amanda is so thankful to her cast - you are all so talented and overwhelming generous with your time and kindness. She especially needs to thank Brenda and Casey for their skills and many extra hours dedicated to making this wonderful show happen! And more than anyone, Britt Nicol...She is an amazing actress and wonderful friend - "Congrats Britt, we did it!" There are many other people, without whom this show would never have happened - I hope you know who you are! Lastly, her amazing family... "Patrick, I love you so much. You are my rock, thank you. Gillian and Michael - I love you two so much! You are both so brilliant and talented, I look up to you both and could never ask for more wonderful siblings (of course!) Thanks for your never-ending support. And most importantly, my mommy... Mom, if I grow up to be half the woman you are, I will be so honored. You are my world.
